Flexibility is the key...

When I began my career in the recruitment industry the first piece of training I received was to understand that companies don't necessarily make money when they are using temps but when they aren't using them.

Tradestaff Training

In 2002 Tradestaff recognised a need for New Zealand businesses to provide an additional contribution to the workforce by providing a fully integrated training and learning environment.

Tradestaff also recognised the difficulties that some organisations experience in providing a structured trade training program which led to the establishment of "Tradestaff Training" part of the Tradestaff Group of Companies.

In October 2007, Tradestaff Training became registered as a Private Training Establishment (PTE) by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 and its subsequent amendments.

Former Tradestaff temp wins award

Rangi Ohlson began working for Tradestaff in late 2006 and quickly established herself as a reliable, hard working and committed employee. Rangi was always quick to jump on board and always did a great job in representing Tradestaff. So it was not surprising when Rangi was offered a full time position with Rotorua Dry Cleaners, an Apparelmaster franchise, in early 2008.

In just 14 months of working for Rotorua Dry Cleaners, Rangi has gone from little experience in dry cleaning to becoming one of the companies most valued employees. This culminated in Rangi being nominated for, and subsequently winning, the prestigious award of “Up and Coming Employee of the Year”.

Health & Safety Update

Tradestaff is one of only 2 recruitment companies in New Zealand to hold WSMP Tertiary Level Status with ACC. This is in recognition of our continued commitment to excellence in Health and Safety practices.

Tradestaff’s Health and Safety Manager, Amanda Flavell is passionate about Health and Safety and has more than a decade of experience

Amanda is available on a consultation basis and is qualified to not only complete a pre-audit for any organisation wanting to get into this very rewarding scheme, but can train and educate Health & Safety personnel whose responsibility it will be for ensuring on-going compliance.

As we know Health and Safety needs to be fully integrated into business practices; it is not something that sits to the side of the business operations, but is part and parcel of the way a business operates. To ensure that heath and safety is an integral part of your business, Amanda can train, educate, and facilitate everything an organization needs to do to comply with health & safety legislation.

However, safety culture is something quite different, and Amanda has had great success in creating a healthy safety culture within Tradestaff. Amanda has the skills required to ensure that your organisation has the kind of values and beliefs that gets the buy-in necessary for a healthy safety culture.

Amanda can offer training & education to all your staff in all health & safety in employment requirements and compliance.
